I just read a great article by Gary Smailes that does a fantastic job of outlining the differences between Traditional Publishing, Indie Publishing, and Self-Publishing. I highly recommend it to anyone that is considering publishing.
The first thing I always ask my clients is, “What is your reason for publishing?” Keep that in mind as you read this article. It will help you focus to come up with the right decision for you. And don’t forget, you can always try to pitch to an agent to reach the big publishing houses. If it doesn’t work, take another route.
